Institutional Research and Assessment

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) facilitates the systematic collection, analysis, and reporting of institutional information to external agencies (such as federal, state, and accreditation organizations), and supports internal planning and decision-making. Fostering a culture of assessment, OIRA assists portfolios in making evidence-based decisions, and promotes continuous quality improvement efforts for administration, faculty, and other constituents.

This office assists others within and outside of the Institute with ad-hoc requests for data and information, as the central contact for federal, state, and ranking agencies, often in conjunction with the Registrar's office.

IR&A is also the liaison between the Institute and the Middle States Commission of Higher Education. Responding in compliance to all requests for data and information as well as interacting with MSCHE at the request of members of the Institute.

The Office of Institutional Research should be an early contact for those individuals needing information for planning and decision-making.
