The outcomes assessment process should answer some questions:
Q. What will students learn in our program? What are our expectations?
A1. Student learning outcomes
A2. Program goals.
Q. How will students learn and be able to demonstrate having met our expectations?
A1. Curricula are aligned with adopted goals.
A2. Instruments and measures to assess learning are identified and used; benchmarks/criteria for success are set and public.
Q. How will we know whether or not students have learned?
A. By collecting, analyzing, and disseminating assessment information.
Q. What will we do if students have not learned?
A. Use assessment information for continuous improvement of teaching & learning. (Manage the continuous assessment process in a systematic manner, and document it.)
