The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) is offering a Grading for Growth Certificate. Amy Svirsky, Learning Assessment Specialist, will be leading the sessions. 

Topics will include Formative and Summative Grading, Standards Based Grading, Specification Grading, Gameful Grading/Assessment Policies, Rubrics, Assessment Design and Gradescope for grading. Participants are invited to bring their syllabus, assignments and questions about grading.

There are 3 2-hour sessions on August 16, 21, and 23. All sessions will be from 1:00-3:00.

To receive the certificate, you must participate actively in the 3 grading sessions and discussions and complete an assessment activity and reflection activity. You may participate without pursuing the certificate.
