Information for Students & Guests
The Honors Convocation serves as a platform to acknowledge and commend students and faculty who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and made significant contributions to their respective fields of study. During the event, various awards, scholarships, and honors are presented to deserving students and faculty, highlighting their accomplishments and dedication to their academic pursuits.
The Honors Convocation at RPI is not only an occasion to celebrate individual achievements but also an opportunity to foster a sense of community and academic excellence within RPI. It reinforces the institution's commitment to recognizing and nurturing exceptional talent while inspiring other students to strive for similar levels of success
Tickets will be available for pickup at the EMPAC Box Office on the 7000 Level beginning Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 23, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
All guests must have a ticket for entry, to request an adjustment to ticket quantity originally requested, email: universityevents@rpi.edu.
Students receiving awards are encouraged to wear business attire and should arrive at EMPAC between 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. to check in on the 7000 Level and pick up their name/walking card. Guests should plan to arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m.;
Students and guests will be seated separately, with honorees seated on the Orchestra Level and guests seated in the Parterre (6000 Level) and Balcony (7000 Level). For guests, seating is first-come, first-served.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last approximately 90 minutes. Parking is available in the garage off College Avenue (59 College Ave, Troy, NY 12180), and a light reception will follow the ceremony at Evelyn's Café inside EMPAC.

RPI is partnering with Island Photography to capture this wonderful milestone! There will be photographers capturing each student as they cross the stage when they are recognized. To ensure you receive your ceremony photos, please complete the Island Photography Selfie Check-In prior to the event. Completing the check-in helps ensure quick delivery of your photo proofs, accurate identification, and allows you to share proofs with family and friends.
